Features - Generate Framework-based SQL Views

The (EA)2 Enterprise Architecture Modeling Framework offers almost 200 SQL views that leverage the (EA)2 metamodel to make reporting easy. Model Guardian uses a SQL view installation script to install the views in the Enterprise Architect model repository*. If you make changes to any of the framework elements that the views use, the SQL Installation Script is updated with the changes. You can then reinstall the views to keep up with your changes.

An upcoming release of Model Guardian will forward engineer the SQL views directly from the framework metamodel. You will also be able to create user-defined views that leverage the framework-based views by modeling them within Enterprise Architect. Model Guardian will forward engineer the user-defined views along with the framework-based views.

*Currently, only SQL Server 2008 and 2010 are supported for this feature.
